Custom Home Design includes the following stages:
Stage 1 — Concept Design
- Development of a site plan showing the proposed location of the house within the permitted building envelope and applicable site boundaries
- Development of floor plans and room schedules based on the Client’s Design Brief
- Development of a building section showing the main geometric and dimensional parameters
- Development of the architectural appearance of the building and elevations of all four sides
Once this stage has been reviewed and approved, we proceed to the next stage of the design process.
Stage 2 — Architectural & Construction Documentation
- Detailed floor plans showing all dimensions, structural references, wall thicknesses, and construction dimensions
- Furniture and equipment layouts
- Masonry plans for each floor
- Lintel layouts for each floor
- Window and door schedules
- Additional building sections showing all materials used, vertical levels, and dimensional information
- Material schedules
- A 3D model of the building that can be viewed on a smartphone or computer
The creation of photorealistic visualizations showing the proposed design solutions and materials is discussed separately with the Client and is not included in the standard design package.
